Celebration of Perseverance

This year MMU convocation, I have a better chance to view our graduates' happy and proud faces on stage. All look young, beautiful (handsome for boys) and cheerful when they walk forward to receive their scrolls. Accompany with the rhythmic gamelan music, they smile to Chancellor Tun Dr Siti Hasmah, and their proudly moment are captured.
As Tun Chansellor wrote the foreword of the convocation booklet that "...our life too is filled with seasonal memoirs of rise and fall...someday when you leaf through those pages of time, ... you will only reflect with much fondness and believe that your sincere hard work and perseverance has crowned you today as graduates of MMU." What a strong agreement of me with Tun that perseverance and focus effort did contribute to our success in academic and also in all levels of our lives. May I remind myself and all that convocation is a big day to celebrate and recognize our achivement of "perserverance" in life.

Grown Up with Love

Flipping through some old albums and seeing kids photo during their younger time, this makes me realise that they have grown up, a lot.
I miss their younger look, and their younger minds, and actions. They were so cute to pose for any photo sessions; they asked many questions of all kinds; they played a lot, happily. Now, they are different. They look serious in photo. Ren everytime looks so cool in front of camera; Roy still can pose his cheerful smile on photo. Both are now 10 and 8, attending the same school. Roy tends to ask more questions regarding school from Ren; Roy initiates more playtime with Ren. I ask Ren to set a good role model for Roy, which I think it works. I reminded myself to treat them differently as two different persons, but always hope them to be together, helping and loving each other like a pair of "mandarin ducks".
